In addition, stress-induced martensite makes the elastic modulus nonlinear, that is, the orthodontic force fluctuates very little when the strain increases. This material is not only easy to operate and effective, but also reduces patient discomfort.

If the orthodontic force of the rod changes, by heating the shape memory alloy externally and raising the temperature to about 5℃ above body temperature, sufficient orthodontic force can be restored.

Widely used in stomatology, orthopedics, cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, urology, gynecology, etc. With the development of shape memory, medical applications will be more extensive.
